Happy Wednesday, Phoebe!

WHAT a DAY yesterday, right?! I’m really sorry the phones are still off, but, I’m really expecting that they’ll be back on at some point today. I’m sorry you were up so late finishing homework, but, I’m really proud of you sticking to it, and not taking the easy way out by ignoring it, and making it late. I think that we can get you completely back on track with a little more work. Since I have you registered for College Bound, I’ve been receiving a lot of materials about colleges, looking to recruit you when the time is right. It’s nowhere you’d ever go, due to it’s denominational nature, but, for example, I got a card from PLU (Portland Lutheran University) offering you free college tuition for four years, with only two needed criteria. one is residing in WA, and the other is have a 3.30 average GPA, cumulatively. That should help to give you an idea of how easy it is to have college paid for, as long as you kick ass in your classes.

Hopefully we’ll be able to make it to Hawaiian Time after school today. I’ll be picking Thea up, anyway, so, I think Mom will go for the idea, so long as you explain that having me pick you up was your idea. Hopefully phones will be back on by the time that you get out tomorrow.

Make sure that you check the Insta page to vote on the trailers for this upcoming week, too. You can only vote via Insta, but, I also archived the trailers on this site, as well, unlinked, here. Try to get Charlie and Thea to vote, too, as the only way this idea will work the way I hoped it would, is if all three of you rate them each day. :)

Happy Tuesday, Phoebe!

I’m really sorry about the cellphones, and the fact that you didn’t have a very good Monday. I know that the phones were a contributing facor, so, I’m really sorry. They should be turned back on at some point today, hopefully morning. As far as cheer being frustrating, please try to give it a few sessions, and see where it goes, since, they’re going to have to build new comp routines… wait and see what happens, before getting too frustrated, plz.

Did you remember to talk to Fay about your grades? I never had the chance to e-mail Schofield, with all of the running around I did literally all day, yesterday. It was definitely worth it, especially because I got to spend at least a little time with y’all, but, I had to cut a few things out that I’d wanted to get done. I might be able to get an e-mail fired off after this, before I have to get over to the courthouse. Hopefully you remembered to show your fundraiser to a teacher, as well?

There are mandatory parent /student meetings for Winter cheer on the 10th/11th, and thankfully, you’ll be back here then. There are tryouts the same week, that look to also be mandatory. I’ll get it all on the family calendar tomorrow.

Happy Monday, Pheebs!

Really excited for you to get back to comp practice today, and I hope you are, too! Please let me know if anything comes up, and you need anything, or need somewhere to go if mom is late to pick you up again. Also, don’t forget to use the app to show at least one teacher or staff member your Yankee Candle fundraiser thing. :)

Even though I dropped the ball a week ago on posts, feel free to check them anyway, as they still have photos and songs of the day, and I updated the playlists on Spotify. I feel like, for the most part, I’ve kinda been nailing the songs, because I’m rad like that, lol.

I’ll have already e-mailed Schofield by the time you get to his class today, but, no guarantees that he’ll have read it by then, so, it really wouldn’t be a bad idea to just ask him what’s up with your grade. I usually get notification each time someone grades something, so, it may be something as simple as him not having graded the make-up assignments, yet. Please also check in with Fay, and see if there’s anything you can do to make up any missed points there, as well.

I still owe you and Charlie a party, btw. We won’t be able to do it this weekend, since you don’t come home until Sunday, but, we should try to start planning for the weekend you’ll be here (11/16-11/17). It might be smarter to try for the 17th, so we have enough time to get everything cleaned up and ready. Four people max, in addition to you and Charlie, but, we’ll start running into issues with sleeping arrangements, even if you hang out and sleep in the living room. Maybe just two or three people, or, have some for the party, and only one or two overnight? You have time to think/plan. ;)

As promised, I set something up for the movie/TV show trailers, and a way for you three to vote on them, so we can start pre-planning stuff to watch. Head over to Insta, and follow @dadstrailervotes. Every day that you have a new post, there will also be a movie or TV show trailer there, and a space to score it. Super simple, watch, reply, done. If y’all take it seriously, instead of adding jokes as replies, lol, it should be pretty handy. ;)

Happy Friday, Phoebe!

Really sorry about yesterday’s post! I got them caught up in the afternoon, but, I think they still kind of got lost in the shuffle. You really killed it for spirit week this year! I’m glad I was able to get you the extra bits you needed, and you were able to get it all put together. Your egirl getup looked pretty popular, based on social media, lol. That PurpleUnicorns girl even had the same hearts you did!

I’m really glad Mom asked me to pick y’all up from school on Wednesday. I had a lot of fun hanging out afterward. I don’t know what’s going on this week, but, she called to tell me that Adriane was picking Thea up after volleyball, and I know that ya’ll ended up at Adriane’s tonight until 11pm on a school night. That, coupled with her picking everyone up over an hour late from school on Tuesday has me a little concerned, but, I’m sure you’ll let me know if anything becomes a problem. :)

I’m sad that I’ll miss seeing you before Homecoming, but, really, really glad that I’ll be there tonight for the game. I’m really excited that you’ll be cheering again, and I think that getting you back in was a really wise decision. You were only out for about a month, but it felt like much longer. I think it was really helpful for you to get the break, though, and showed you that even if things are stressful, maybe cheer isn’t the thing that should be cut out to stave off the stress.

Thank you so much for putting in the work, and getting all of your English assignments caught up this week. I wish you could get to a point where you weren’t leaving it all until the last minute, to cut down on your own stress, but, I’m still proud of the fact that you were able to get it done.

Phoebe,

I’m so sorry I dropped the ball on this post today. I usually either write them before I go to bed, or, set my alarm to wake up and write them right before you’all get up for school. Last night, tho, I fell asleep early, on the couch, at 9:00p, without setting an alarm. Please don’t misinterpret that as it not being important to me, though. Often times, I do the photo and songs of the day in advance, and leave the drafts unpublished (unposted) until the morning of. I’ll be sure that I’m more careful in the future. ;)

I’m glad you stopped by this morning and grabbed your yellow shirt for color war. I tried to get all of the stains out, and ran it through the washers three different times, lol. I think it looked okay, compared to how it looked when I pulled it out of your drawer. I miss you a ton, and can’t wait to see you Sunday!

I will get these written this afternoon. I had too many things I was working on last night, and I didn’t make it to writing posts as I’d intended. Will get them up before nightfall. 😉
