Happy Tuesday, Thea.

I still feel really, really terrible about last night. It’s really awful, and heartbreaking to watch you stand there, crying about something you have no control over. I know that you wanted to stay, and didn’t want to go back to mom’s, and I’m really, really sorry that you were upset. On the bright side, I’m really, really glad that I was able to take you to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at school, and get to spend some time with you, while Mom went home for a nap. I’m a little glad that Phoebe had homework, and we were able to spend some time just the two of us, since that’s always fun. :)

Thank you so much for making sure to remember to turn in your red hot reader form! You’re really starting to get the hang of personal responsibility, and, although I’m not super excited that you’re having to do that at age ten, it’ll really help on nights that a parent isn’t reminding you about the things you need to get done.

I hope that you’re excited for volleyball tomorrow, and Thursday! I’ll see you Wednesday, as well, for your appointment with Katelyn. I know that you’d said you weren’t interested, at the time, but I really think you might reconsider one of the other Winter after-school activities? The Lego program sounded really interesting, as did a few others. Of course I won’t force you, I just don’t want you to miss out, once volleyball ends.

Don’t forget to check out that new Insta account, so you can help vote on TV and movies for us to watch when you come home! The link is in yesterday’s post. I miss you an awful lot, and I’ll talk to you soon!

Love,

-Dad
