Good morning, Char!

I’m really worried that you stayed awake all night again, but, I have my fingers crossed that you made a smart choice, and went to sleep before it got too late. I know that in theory, the idea of “resetting your sleep schedule” seems clever, and like it would work, but, I promise you, it almost never does. It’s too easy to overestimate our ability to stay awake when we’re tired, and, after a long day at school, you’re going to give in, and, again, go straight to sleep after school, making the cycle continue. I totally believe in you to kick this cycle. I know it’s hard if nobody enforces it, but, you’re smart, and make good choices. You got this!

Speaking of podcasts… remember Limetown?? The one we listened to on the way home from California, about the town where everyone went missing? They’ve turned it onto a TV show, that just started airing on Facebook Watch… which, I guess is a new source for TV shows. It looks really, really good, and I scanned through the first episode, and, it’s pretty rad. Here’s the trailer below, so you can check it out!

I found a few movies that look really scary, too. Maybe we can do another movie night this weekend. I hope that you have an awesome day today! I love and miss you a whole, whole bunch, and can’t wait for you to come home Sunday, so we can start getting on some basketball, and hanging out.

Happy Monday Char!

I hope you had a good night last night, I had fun shopping with you, as usual. I found your Rolos when I got home, with about 15 HiChews, and a Rice Krispy Treat… all under my bed. I’m guessing it was Soli, and I’m guessing it was in the middle of the night, after the movie.. little jerk. I wonder how much tinfoil she ate, trying to get them out of the wrappers. :/

I noticed that you and Phoebe never did whatever podcast she was talking about, and it got me thinking. Thea and I are going to work on a project next week, which will either be our original podcast idea, or a new one, and a comic book to go with it. What if we work together to get you going on your own, either together, or a solo one for you? I could help you with the story, and brainstorming, and, you could write it and narrate? I have a few overarching story ideas, and only one of them is promised to Thea, so far. Just an idea, no pressure. <3

Let me know how it goes with Aidan walking you to class (or not, lol). I hope this week is awesome, and, I’m here if you need anything. The photo of the day was something I remembered from when we were talking about the sign for “West side”, and I remembered that you were doing it in an old photo, so I went hunting for it. I’m pretty sure this photo was the taken the same night that Alex came over, and was holding you, and helping you do air guitar. I’ll see if I can find it, it’s really cute. I miss you a ton already!

Happy Saturday, Char!

I’m really glad we got to hang out last night. I’m glad that you undersstood where I was coming from, about why I was disappointed about the way the night went. I feel like it’s easier for you to see it, because you watch it happen to Phoebe, then experience it from Phoebe. The bottom line, is that Lou is not a very good friend. She’s fun to be around in isolated spaces, but, as soon as there are other people around, she’s not good at treating friends as such. The very bottom of this ladder is Thea, so, hopefully you see where your part in this leaves room for improvement. :)

I hope that the three of you had fun at Adriane’s last night! I have no idea how late mom was working, or what time you went home, but, I hope that it was fun, and a nice change of pace. I’m also glad that you finally got ahold of your grades money! I was worried that it wasn’t going to make the move from mom’s hands to yours, but I’m glad that it did. It didn’t feel fair for you to have to buy your own clothes at the thrift store with that money, which was why i made sure to handle your tickets at the game, and made sure you had dinner last night. You should be free to use that money you earned on fun things, not necessities.

Please ignore the coverart for the song of the day, lol. Sometimes, it’ll show the art from a movie soundtrack, if the song appeared in a movie. That’s all fine and good, but, please give it a listen anyway, because that cover does NOT sell it, lol. I can’t wait for you to come home tomorrow, and I miss you tons!

Morning Char!

Happy day-off-of-school! I hope you have a fun day planned today! The Peace Pipe game is tonight, but, I don’t think Phoebe’s been able to find a ride, and I’m not allowed to take her, so, she might be home with you tonight.

I had a ton of fun volunteering at your school yesterday. They asked me to come back next week, but, I’m going to be volunteering at Phoebe’s school for the volleyball game on the 15th, so, I have to see how it fits into the schedule. She didn’t mention much about what it was for, but, most of the reason I volunteered yesterday, was to be able to see you, and hang out. So, if it’s a volunteer event in which I won’t see you at all, I may skip it. :)

The school week coming up is really short, so, that’s totally something to look forward to. I haven’t heard much about when conferences are, so, I’ll keep an eye out, so we can get them all scheduled up. Thea’s are at 5pm, on Thursday, so, we should be able to get them all knocked out relatively quickly, and easily. Your teachers are going to have nothing but awesome things to say about you, that much, I know for sure. :)

I’ll be around today, if you can chat. I miss and love you millions and millions!

Good morning Char!,

Super excited to see you in a few hours! You never explained what you’d meant about making it to four laps, but, I have one person besides me that’ll be pledging to your laps, so, do as many as you’re comfortable with, without burning yourself out. It’s supposed to be fun, so just have fun with it, and take your time. :)

I hope you had an awesome day at school yesterday, how cool is it that today is your Friday?! You’re really, really killing it in school, and I couldn’t be more proud of you. I checked your grades yesterday, and not only did you still have straight As, but, many of your actual grade percentages went up even higher than they were before. Super impressive, and super awesome, you should be really proud of yourself!

I hope that you have something fun planned for Friday! I haven’t really talked to you much, so I’m not sure how you’re feeling about trying to hang out with Marissa outside of school. It sounds like a good idea, and, if she goes to Mac, then we already know that she lives nearby. :)

Anyway, I miss and love you a whole bunch, and can’t wait to see you today!

Happy Wednesday, Char!

I hope you had an awesome day at school. I’m really sorry, and sad that your shirt didn’t fit like you’d expected. We’ll go to the Goodwill down by Dutch sometime this week, and find something similar. It’s a short school week next week, so we should have plenty of time. ;)

I hope you’re ready for the jog-a-thon tomorrow! I made sure to volunteer for the time slot you’ll be jogging in. I’m meeting the PTO at Mac at 8:45am Thursday, so, if you’re there early, we can say “hi” before you go into school. I’m sorry Instagram hasn’t turned up any pledges, yet, people just don’t seem to have a lot of spare money these days, sadly. I’ll make sure I pledge something per lap, because I know you’ll kill it out there. ;)

Maybe you should try to make plans to hang out with a friend on Friday, since there’s no school? All of the middle schools are out of session. I’m not sure if you can put together plans with Maybe Mallory, or Marissa, or someone… but, it’d give you something fun to do that day, instead of just sitting in the trailer on your phone? Totally up to you, obviously, I just don’t want you to be bored.

Lastly, you’d asked if I could get some movies and TV shows for your phone. I know we need to clear your phone off before adding them, but, if you want to maybe get me a list of stuff you’d want, in the meantime, I can get started putting it together, and encoding it so it’ll be the right size for your phone. ;)

I miss you a whole, whole lot, and can’t wait for Sunday.

Hey Char!

Happy Tuesday! I had a lot of fun at the coffee shop with y’all yesterday, and I’m really glad you invited me along. Sorry the volleyball game wasn’t quite as fun, but, things like that will be more and more fun when you learn to insert yourself into the conversations, even when there are people there you don’t know very well. You can’t get ignored and left out, if you don’t let yourself. ;)

I had the days wrong. jog-a-thon is either tomorrow, or the next day, depending on which day you have PE. They need volunteers, to come and help, and count laps for the kids. Depending on which of those two days you have PE, I was wanting to come volunteer, and cheer you on.. are you cool with that? I promise I won’t embarrass you, lol. Let me know how you feel about it sometime today before or after school, and I can let them know.

I might be taking Phoebe to the escape room today after school, and, if so, I’ll give her your package, to give you once she finishes and gets home. If that doesn’t work out, and she ends up going with someone else, I’ll try to swing by your school before you get out, and drop it off in the office for you. I’ll find a way to get it to you, somehow. :)
